In occasione della Giornata mondiale della traduzione, che, come ogni anno, cade il 30 settembre, abbiamo pensato di condividere con voi qualche riflessione in merito a come \u00e8 cambiato il \u201cmodo di fare traduzione\u201d nel corso degli anni, grazie alle componenti esterne che sono intervenute.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Perch\u00e9 esiste la Giornata mondiale della traduzione? <\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Nel 406 la \u201cVulgata\u201d, prima traduzione della Bibbia rese il monaco cristiano S. Girolamo il primo traduttore della storia, nonch\u00e9 il Santo protettore di tutte le generazioni di traduttori che si sono susseguite negli anni.\u00a0<\/p>

La particolarit\u00e0 nella stesura della Sacra Scrittura di S. Girolamo, da alcuni lodata da altri criticata: la traduzione non era precisamente corrispondente alla lettera alla versione ebraica originale. Il motivo? La preferenza del monaco romano era quella di \u201ccomunicare il senso del testo originale\u201d piuttosto che le singole parole.\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Parola per parola o senso per senso? <\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Accade spesso anche per le lingue moderne di imbattersi in termini e\/o modi di dire che, se tradotti alla lettera non hanno alcun senso. Un esempio? La versione inglese di\u00a0\u201csta piovendo a dirotto\u201d<\/em>\u00a0\u00e8\u00a0\u201cit\u2019s raining cats and dogs\u201d<\/em>\u00a0(letteralmente \u201cstanno piovendo gatti e cani\u201d, che chiaramente in italiano non ha alcun senso). Un dibattito lungo secoli che ancora oggi non ha trovato una risoluzione univoca.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>

C\u2019\u00e8 da aggiungere per\u00f2 che la preferenza della traduzione \u00e8 anche legata al tipo di testo: per un testo di carattere economico sar\u00e0 pi\u00f9 probabile che venga richiesta una traduzione parola per parola, mentre un articolo letterario avr\u00e0 necessariamente bisogno di una resa \u201cpi\u00f9 libera\u201d. \u00c8 questo il motivo per cui \u00e8 fondamentale affidarsi a professionisti del settore che sanno ci\u00f2 che fanno e le necessit\u00e0 di ogni tipologia testuale.\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

L\u2019avvento della tecnologia ha impattato tutti i settori che un tempo erano prettamente legati al testo cartaceo; non per ultimo, quello della\u00a0traduzione<\/b>. Per quanto i dizionari cartacei siano infatti tuttora materiale prezioso per chiunque operi con le lingue, grazie al loro carattere talvolta tecnico e settoriale non facilmente individuabile nel web, \u00e8 anche vero che le lingue sono praticamente in evoluzione continua. Un\u00a0vocabolario cartaceo<\/strong>, stampato e di conseguenza \u201cstatico\u201d, non \u00e8 quindi in grado di stare al passo con i tempi, se utilizzato da solo.\u00a0<\/p>

Hanno cos\u00ec preso sempre pi\u00f9 piede le enciclopedie e i\u00a0dizionari online<\/strong>, facilmente ritracciabili su Internet e di certo pi\u00f9 tempestivi nella fase di ricerca. Per quanto non siano spesso accurati quanto i cartacei, il vantaggio principale di questa tipologia di vocabolari \u00e8 da ricercare nell\u2019essere \u201cup to date<\/i><\/b>\u201d, ovvero aggiornati. Sar\u00e0 quindi in questo caso pi\u00f9 facile trovare anche glossari con modi di dire,\u00a0slang<\/i>, dialetti, ecc. con termini di uso comune, anche quelli utilizzati dalle ultime generazioni.\u00a0<\/p>

Il lavoro del traduttore richiede in sintesi un connubio di entrambi gli strumenti: i dizionari cartacei necessari per le rese pi\u00f9 tecniche, specialistiche e settoriali, e i vocabolari digitali per le traduzioni di carattere pi\u00f9 discorsivo, di marketing e commerciali.\u00a0<\/p><\/div><\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

C\u2019\u00e8 chi dice che col tempo le macchine andranno a sostituire\u00a0<\/span>il lavoro umano<\/span>, ma noi non siamo d\u2019accordo; sono tuttavia senz\u2019altro un ottimo ausilio\u00a0<\/span>nei processi<\/span>\u00a0degli operatori del settore.\u00a0<\/span>Al contempo<\/span>,<\/span>\u00a0infine,<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>la sempre pi\u00f9 crescente attenzione ai cambiamenti climatici, alla riduzione delle emissioni di CO2 e alla salvaguardia del nostro pianeta\u00a0<\/span>resta un\u00a0<\/span><\/span>topic<\/span><\/span>\u00a0cruciale anche per il nostro settore, in cui l\u2019impronta ecologica\u00a0<\/span>viene garantita grazie alla \u201ccomputerizzazione\u201d di quasi tutti i processi, che portano quindi ad una\u00a0<\/span>conseguente\u00a0<\/span>riduzione di sprechi cartacei<\/span>, prima fra tutti la nostra\u00a0piattaforma di traduzione online.<\/span><\/span><\/p><\/div><\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
