From June 12 to 14, 2025<\/strong>, the historic Sala delle Grida<\/strong> of the Palazzo della Borsa in Genoa<\/strong> hosted the second edition of inVulnerabilia<\/strong>, a public, multidisciplinary and participatory event dedicated to promoting a new vision of vulnerability<\/strong> as a cultural and social lever.<\/p>

Promoted by theUniversity of Genoa<\/strong> through the SRV Center – Security, Risk and Vulnerability<\/strong>, the event involved scientists<\/strong>, institutions<\/strong>, professionals<\/strong> and civil society<\/strong> in an open discussion, with the aim of building a culture of vulnerability<\/strong> capable of facing the challenges of our time in a conscious and shared way.<\/p>

The format of inVulnerabilia<\/strong> stood out for its accessibility<\/strong>, openness<\/strong> and richness of perspectives<\/strong>. Each day featured debates<\/strong>, dialogues<\/strong> and direct testimonies<\/strong>, with strong audience involvement. <\/p>

The key issues addressed were:<\/p>

  • June 12 – Natural Hazards and Climate Change<\/strong>
    A day devoted to extreme phenomena<\/strong> such as floods<\/strong>, storm surges<\/strong> and heat waves<\/strong>. Science<\/strong> dialogued with decision makers on the ground. Among the highlights was the dissemination of the results<\/strong> of the RETURN<\/strong> partnership, of which theUniversity of Genoa<\/strong> is a part. <\/p><\/li>

  • June 13 – Cybersecurity and AI<\/strong>
    The focus shifted to the protection of data<\/strong>, digital infrastructure<\/strong> and privacy<\/strong>, with insights into the legal aspects<\/strong> and risks of artificial intelligence.<\/strong> Ample space was devoted to the SERICS<\/strong> project, another feather in the Ligurian university’s cap. <\/p><\/li>

  • June 14 – Social Vulnerabilities<\/strong>
    A discussion on everyday fragilities<\/strong>: job security<\/strong>, gender violence<\/strong>, marginality<\/strong>, rights<\/strong>. A time for collective listening and reflection on the value of care<\/strong> andinclusion<\/strong>. <\/p><\/li><\/ul>

    Promoest<\/strong> handled the entire operational organization of<\/strong> the event, ensuring fluidity, quality and consistency with the values of the initiative. Specifically, it was responsible for: <\/p>

    • Overall coordination<\/strong> of the three days and evening<\/strong> side events<\/strong> <\/p><\/li>

    • Reception service and security<\/strong><\/p><\/li>

    • Catering service<\/strong><\/p><\/li>

    • Production of graphic materials<\/strong><\/p><\/li>

    • Audience engagement<\/strong> through visual and creative tools<\/p><\/li><\/ul>

      In collaboration with the International School of Comics in Genoa<\/strong>, a real-time illustrated concept map<\/strong> was created that visually narrated the topics discussed, making each session immediate and understandable even to the uninitiated.<\/p>

      Through this approach, a constant relationship<\/strong> between speakers<\/strong> and participants<\/strong> was fostered in an inclusive<\/strong>, accessible<\/strong> and highly participatory<\/strong> setting.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
