The Project
The 49th ESAO – IFAO Meeting, the Annual Meeting organized by Promoest in collaboration with the University of Bergamo, the Mario Negri Institute, the Azienda Ospedaliera di Bergamo and the Politecnico di Milano
This meeting brought together more than 300 participants from across Europe and Japan, providing a unique opportunity for personal interaction and sharing of advances in the field of artificial organs, both experimentally and clinically, along with the medical technology that supports them.
The conference
Among the prominent international speakers, we were privileged to hear from PhD and MSc Professor Ellen Roche, currently serving at MIT University in Massachusetts, and engineer Mario Gabrielli Cossellu, an official of the European Commission.
The conference kicked off with two days dedicated to young researchers, a group of bright minds who are distinguishing themselves in the field of artificial organs. Here, projects, innovations and knowledge were shared in a working environment that also alternated with convivial moments.
The conference then expanded to accommodate all remaining participants. Even at this stage, we alternated presentations of projects and innovations with networking and sharing. We did not limit ourselves to work, but also enjoyed playful moments, including guided tours and an unforgettable gala dinner at the beautiful Villa Malliana, an 18th-century jewel that made this event even more memorable.
2024 Edition
And now, don’t forget the next big event: the 50th ESAO Annual Meeting to be held in Aachen, Germany! It will be an unmissable opportunity.
