The Project
The ORAHS conference was founded in 1975 with the idea of providing a network for researchers involved in the application of systematic and quantitative analysis to support planning and management in the health services sector.
After 2 years of mandatory stop, this year’s was the 48th edition, organized at the University of Bergamo. Why this university in particular? Because Bergamo is home to Italy’s first master’s degree program in Health Care Engineering and Management, which merges biomedical engineering, management engineering and health care optimization.
Attractiveness
The Bergamo edition was among the most attractive! In fact, more than 160 people from all over the world (EU, USA, Canada and South Africa) participated, For a total of 110 papers and contributions.
The entire conference was held at the wonderful St. Augustine’s building, which houses the historic Great Hall frescoed with paintings from the 1300s. Guests were also entertained with social and playful events. From the welcome cocktail, to the social boat trip on Lake Como to the Gala Dinner at Villa Maliana.
2024 Edition
Finally, not only social events for conference participants, but also cultural programs for accompanying persons throughout the days: from the classic Milanese city tour, to more picturesque visits such as Torquato dei Tasso. In short, we took care of everyone without excluding anyone!
In conclusion, special thanks to all participants, with the hope to see you again for the2024 edition, again here in Italy but in Turin!
