MUSA: Pathways to sustainable innovation

The project

“MUSA: Pathways to Sustainable Innovation” was an institutional event designed to recount the results, impact and future prospects of the MUSA project, enhancing its role in building a territorial ecosystem of sustainable innovation.

The event took place on December 3 and 4, 2025 on two days and two symbolic locations in Milan – the University of Milano-Bicocca and Palazzo Reale – involving more than 600 participants including stakeholders, researchers and institutions.

The presence of institutional figures, including the Rectors of the partner universities and the City of Milan, confirmed the strategic and public value of the initiative.

Content and session management

The program alternated panels, panel discussions and testimonials, highlighting the value of interdisciplinary research, sustainable innovation and building an inclusive ecosystem.

The sessions were attended by leading institutional figures, including the Rectors of the universities involved in the MUSA project, with the active involvement of the City of Milan, strengthening the dialogue between research, institutions and the territory.

  • The first day, titled “Three years of research and experimentation: impact and results,” was dedicated to presenting the results of the project spokes, with thematic sessions on one-health, deep tech and social innovation, enriched by Nicola Palmarini ‘s talk and the “Melody on Time” show, which combined science, art and astronomy.
  • The second day, “MUSA beyond MUSA: from the project to the ecosystem,” delved into the future prospects of the project, with the presentation of the Three-Year Strategic Plan, the valorization of the activities carried out, and the awarding of the winning posters and winners of the MUSA Next Generation SME call.

Engagement and live sketching
To encourage engagement and visual restitution of content, Promoest integrated live sketching during the parallel sessions, transforming the themes that emerged into immediate and sharable graphic narratives.
