The project
From March 29 to April 1, 2026, the Politecnico di Milano hosted the seventh edition of MECP—the Multi-step Enzyme-Catalyzed Processes Congress—an international event dedicated to the new frontiers of enzymatic processes and biotechnology.
The conference brought together about 100 experts, researchers, and industry representatives, creating a highly scientific environment in which dialogue across different disciplines fostered new connections and potential applications in the industrial and technological sectors.
Research, Industry, and New Connections
MECP 2026 served as a forum for dialogue between the academic and industrial communities, dedicated to sharing the latest developments in enzyme-catalyzed multistage processes.
The scientific program allowed participants to explore new methodologies, applications, and perspectives in the field of biocatalysis, fostering the exchange of expertise and the development of international collaborations.
Promoest supported the organizing committee in managing the conference, coordinating the administrative and financial office, the registration website, registrations, sponsorships, and communication with participants and speakers.
The team also handled the hospitality and transportation arrangements for the invited speakers, catering services, public transportation passes, and on-site operational coordination, ensuring continuity and support throughout the entire event.

Networking and Experience in Milan
The program included a welcome reception, coffee breaks, lunches, and social gatherings designed to encourage dialogue even outside of the scientific sessions.
The social dinner at I Dodici Gatti, overlooking the rooftops of the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, offered participants an authentic Milanese experience, combining international networking with the chance to explore the city.
MECP 2026 has established itself not only as a scientific conference, but as a true ecosystem of knowledge and innovation, capable of bringing together different areas of expertise, disciplines, and perspectives.
Culture, networking and land development
In addition to the scientific program, Promoest organized events focused on networking and exploring the city’s culture. The gala evening took place at a unique venue: the “Leonardo da Vinci” National Museum of Science and Technology, preceded by an exclusive tour of the Leonardo Gallery.
It was an event that brought together conviviality, beauty, and Milan’s historical identity.
On the final day, delegates were able to choose from a variety of experiential activities, including:

Industry visit to Davines Spa, a leading Italian company in sustainability and cosmetic innovation

Technical and organizational supervision of scientific sessions
Coordination of social events and post-convention activities
