Economic Diplomacy and New Opportunities
On April 27, 2026, the city of Prato hosted the Italy–Latin America Economic Forum, organized by IILA—the International Italian-Latin American Organization —in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and with the support of ICE Agency.
The initiative brought together more than 160 representatives from the Italian private sector, Latin American companies, business associations, and institutional delegations, with the aim of exploring the opportunities offered by the Agreement between the European Union and Mercosur and strengthening economic relations between Italy and Latin America.
The program took place at two iconic venues in the city—the Textile Museum and the Metastasio Theater—transforming the Forum into a day filled with discussions, B2B meetings, and institutional dialogue
Two venues, one institutional event
The morning took place at the Textile Museum, featuring thematic panels focused on the sectors with the greatest potential for internationalization, meetings between Italian and Latin American companies, and a networking lunch.
In the afternoon, the participants moved to the Metastasio Theater for the plenary session, attended by Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani, representatives of Latin American governments, the European Commission, development banks, trade associations, and the Italian business community.
The coordinated management of two programs and two different locations required careful planning of traffic flow, technical services, and timing, while maintaining visual and organizational continuity throughout the entire day.
Promoest handled the operational coordination of the event, the set design for the Textile Museum and the Metastasio Theater, the audio and video services, the remote connections, and the live stream on the client’s YouTube channel.
The project also included simultaneous interpretation services in Italian, Spanish, and Portuguese, with dedicated booths and headsets, as well as the technical management of the translated audio feeds for the press room.
In addition, the event organizers coordinated badges, lanyards, backdrops, roll-up banners, hostesses for reception and registration, catering, photography, and video production, with two Promoest coordinators present at all times.
